I would absolutely recommend reading the graphic novel right after finishing the traditional novel. I felt it added a level of understanding to the occasionally confusing timelines of Slaughterhouse-Five. The graphic novel also removes some of the sections that have not aged well. That said, this is not intended as a replacement to reading the original, and I wouldn’t treat it as such.
