I think I enjoyed this one even more so than Paulson’s Garlic novels, in a way. The artwork was angular and the colors muted but was beautiful in its “vintage-ness.” (The lightbulbs and the shop were my favorite aspect of the illustrations.) I sat down to do a flip-through and ended up reading the entire thing. Super cute.
