Oh boy... Winter's Heart has a fantastic conclusion and that's it. I really struggled to get through this story, which took me about two weeks to read. A vast majority of it is spent on plots that seem to go near nowhere and with characters who've been stuck doing nothing for a long section of the story. Robert Jordan's world building is still immaculate
(Far Madding is one of the coolest locations I've seen so far)
, but his pacing is frustrating and his character work was really lacking in this entry.
