“Bad Girl Reputation,” Elle Kennedy’s wonderfully written follow up to “Good Girl Complex,” fleshes out the briefly mentioned relationship involving Evan and Genevieve. The first book mentions how Evan was heartbroken to find out she up and left without so much as a goodbye, and this book explores why originally she left and so much more.
The novel starts off with Gen returning home to her mother’s funeral, and her not really being that morose about it. Most of her mother’s kids (outside her youngest sibling Craig) weren’t super close with her and while it seemed fast that she got sick and passed away, it wasn’t something that had an intense impact on her.
There was one thing that had a profound impact on her though: her old flame Evan Hartley. The only guy who could draw her back into her old life of crazy antics and bad habits.
Gen is trying to convince herself she’s changed and tells Evan just as much, and that she doesn’t want to get dragged back into her old life. Evan decides he wants her back, and says if becoming a better person is what he has to do then he’ll do it.
Bad Girl Repotation explores love and second chances, forgiveness, and the journey of self betterment, all wrapped up in a love story that will keep you enthralled till the very last page.
