A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab
5.0
“Anoshe was a word for strangers in the street, and lovers between meetings, for parents and children, friends and family. It softened the blow of leaving. Eased the strain of parting. A careful nod to the certainty of today, the mystery of tomorrow. When a friend left, with little chance of seeing home, they said anoshe. When a loved one was dying, they said anoshe. When corpses were burned, bodies given back to the earth and souls to the stream, those left grieving said anoshe.
Anoshe brought solace. And hope. And the strength to let go.”
OMG SO MANY EMOTIONS.
Like it end happily but at the same time Im an emotional mess.
GOD V.E SCHWAB IS AN INCREDIBLE WRITER.
Although I didn't feel as satisfied as I wanted to feel.
I feel like something was missing.
I can't choose if it was the fighting scene or more like feel there is still an unknown to some parts of the evil and the world around Red London.
Of course the humour of the story is always gold.
The interaction between everyone is just great.
I definitely feel like my favourite is Alucard.
I really do pity Holland though.
Like for everything he did and what he got....
Maybe it was meant to be you know for what he has gone through.
Maybe his life story was to just find the peace he badly wanted.
OMG, I need more stories on Kell and Lila adventures please.
What I love about how V.E Schwab writes her like love plot is just so like smooth sailing.
Like the stories feels natural. Not needing like a really strong explanation or devotion to explain that the two characters love each other or have feelings for each other.
And to be honest, I so want to know more about the other London.
The ending was written beautifully.
Like it was a happy ending but at the same time it was kind of not....
The ending paragraph is literally my fav. What a way to describe to the end of the story. It was beautiful.
I need more of this world man, I don't want it to end.
“And then, at last, the world breathed in.”
Anoshe brought solace. And hope. And the strength to let go.”
