I read this book (for the first time) over 25 years ago. Yes, I am old.. get over it. 😀 I raised it from 4 to 5 stars because it really stood the test of time. I loved it then, I loved it even more this time around. Her writing style really grabs you and pulls you in, and though she writes of myths and legends you really feel for the characters, even the minor ones like Ulfin and Cadal. I even felt bad for poor Aster when he was left behind to fend for himself, sure he was a horse, but that's what her style does, it makes you feel. I am very glad that I am reunited with this series and am patiently waiting for The Hollow Hills to be delivered to my local Barnes and Noble. Anyone who loves Arthurian Legend should read this series.
