Trespasses by Louise Kennedy

dark emotional sad medium-paced

3.25

Kind of a quiet book set during the Troubles in Northern Ireland.  I felt like the story got stronger towards the end and while I struggled a bit in the beginning, once I moved past the halfway mark, I was much more engaged.  I think it's helpful to have a little background of the Troubles period to read this because it's kind of the backdrop but not a lot is explained.  This was good on audio but I preferred reading it in print. I think more than the illicit relationship in this book, I preferred the relationship she had with some of my favorite characters - Davy, Gerry and surprisingly Gina.
