No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole

If book 1 had me hooked, book 2 completely reeled me in and made me fall in love with these crazy immortals. I can already say Kad and Bastian are going to be among my favorites in the series. Hot awkward nerd vampire and badass warrior heroine? Sign me up. Although I did not anticipate loving them quite as much as I did, they absolutely had me from the start. Nor did I expect it to be quite this sexy; and it was, that chain scene had me feeling all kinds of ways. They’re opposite in almost all ways, so much so that it’s eerie in some respects, but they so work!
And the humor was on point. Riora especially was an unexpected hoot. The Valkyries just get better, and the vampires are as sexy as I’d expect. That’s not to say I’m not eagerly awaiting Bowen’s fascinating story next, but the Vampire-Valkyrie pairing was a cracker. Time travel is never my favorite thing, but it’s superficial enough here that it didn’t bother me much.
