How to Steal a Galaxy by Beth Revis
4.0
I really adored the first book in this series so I was so excited to dive into the second book in this series! After pulling off the heist of a nanobot prototype and associated code at the end of the first book, Ada's contacts try to rope her back in to help save Earth. But the thing that seals the deal isn't the money (her usual motivator) but instead the chance to see Rian again. Set at a charity gala, the banter and shenanigans continue to be unmatched. I love Ada as a character. She is so smart and the little hints she drops about her real plans kept me hooked. The one critique I have for this one compared to the first one is that the writing felt a little less tight. There was some unneeded repetition that slowed the pace when the book should feel tightly wound. Still, I am anxiously awaiting the next one!
Drink this book: Enjoy with a South African Cap Classique - something that feels like champagne but it's quite.
