The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune

5.0

This may be a case of the right book at the right time, but I loved this campy YA cross between Renegades and Fangirl and something uniquely TJ Klune. It's totally unlike House in the Cerulean Sea, so don't go in expecting that. But if you need a good distraction with a great audiobook narrator about queer teens in a city with superheroes, this is fantastic.

ETA: I'm pretty sure this is literally the first time I've ever finished a book and then read it again immediately. This book makes me insanely giggly and happy. I can't wait for #2!

On reread #2: Read in print this time and there's a spoilery mini chapter in the back that isn't on audio. EEK.
