House of Pounding Hearts by Olivia Wildenstein

I've recently found that a number of romantasy series have been missing the mark for me, leading to a slew of three-star reads in a row (we all know what a drag that can be). Lore actively going along with Dante saying that he was to be married to the Princess of Glace when he indeed, was not. I felt like that created a lot of tension between Fallon and Lorcan and its only real purpose was to push out their inevitable entanglement.Like many other middle books, this one is more filler and less action. There wasn't a lot of movement in the book world, though there was tons of growth on other ends. HoPH is going to be a great building block in the overall series. I can't wait to see how everything unravels in House of Striking Oaths (#3).

Also, fuck Dante. I can't wait for Lore to eviscerate him lol.Happy reading!
