No Cure for Being Human (And Other Truths I Need to Hear) by Kate Bowler

5.0

I knew this would be on top ten of the year list before I even I finished the first chapter. Kate Bowler writes with such direct and unsparing beauty about facing death and our limited time here. I finished and wanted to immediately reread it again. Exceptional. Kate approaches her mortality from a decidedly Christian perspective (she is, after all, a professor at a divinity school) but I think people of other faiths or no faith will still find this profound and moving.
