Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight

3.0

I was disappointed with this book. Everyone has been saying how much they enjoyed it but i just didn’t like it as much as I thought I would.

I feel like this book was unnecessarily long. I enjoyed the first half of the book but then started to get bored. It felt like nothing was really happening.

I ended up picking up another book at 65% and then when I finished that, I just didn’t want to come back to it. I did end up finishing though but mainly because I hate to DNF. I pretty much skimmed the last 15%.

This is the sort of book where you read it for the spice rather than the plot (there was 0 plot). I like books with a good combination of both.

The “touch her and and I’ll kill you” was very common in this book. It started to get a bit irritating after a while. In one chapter three people, at separate times, got beaten up for it…like we get the idea already.

I did like that Roxy (the heroine) stood up for herself. She was a very strong, confident woman which I loved to see. However, some of her comebacks and insults were a little cringy and happened too often. She started to get on my nerves quite a bit towards the end.

When I finally finished this book I was just glad it was over. It took me 15 days to finish it, which is a seriously long time for me.
