Brief Answers to the Big Questions by Stephen Hawking

5.0

“So, if you want to explore the inside of a black hole, make sure you choose a big one.” (to not get immediately destroyed by it)

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up. Unleash your imagination. Shape the future.”

The first but definitely not last Hawking’s book I’ve read.
There have been times when I’ve thought about some of these Big Questions but, of course, not even close to a scientific or philosophical level. I’ve nonetheless found all of those questions about mysterious things very interesting for a long time.
I enjoyed reading every chapter of this book, although it was a bit confusing sometimes since I wasn’t familiar with some of the super-smart-scientific words. I read a chapter a day, and in the last day I read the remaining four, and it was so captivating, all of the things Stephen Hawking wrote in this book. I would recommend this to anyone who has ever thought about the beauty of our universe.
Truly we have lost a brilliant mind and a great scientist.
RIP Stephen Hawking.
