How to Justify Torture: Inside the Ticking Bomb Scenario by Alex Adams
3.0
This was a pretty interesting phylosphical text about morality, specifically in terms of the ticking bomb scenario.
I really liked the approach and found this to be well explained but in an interesting way.
My only issue with this was that the introduction already introduced all arguments and explained them as well. So more than half of the book was simply about finding a dozen of dozen of the same examples from different media's like movies or books to prove the authors point. Since he only had the same 3 arguments, which I was familiar with since page 10 and agreed with from the beginning, the explanations could become a bit boring and felt dragged out. I didn't always need 10 movies to prove that it's common in media.
Nevertheless, a very interesting read.
