Call It What You Want by Brigid Kemmerer

3.0

3.5 stars. I love how Kemmerer drops you into the aftermath of something huge rather than starting at the beginning. We get to know the characters at their worst and most vulnerable, which makes watching them grow more interesting and satisfying.

I loved Rob and Meagan. They were social pariahs for various reasons and were so good for each other. I enjoyed seeing them come to terms with everything going on in their own ways, and I liked how they brought out the best in each other.

The theme woven throughout was that we don't have to go through the hard things alone. That can be especially difficult for teenagers to realize, but adults struggle too. We all need people in our lives to help us through tough times.
