Overall, I really liked the book! I read it through an audiobook. I like the sound effects that the author/audiobook company used when Yinka was typing, writing, or voicenotes were used. It gave a realistic feel. The storyline was very relateable with how she perceived herself, trying to push herself out into the dating world and feeling the need to change herself. When Yinka discussed the bleaching cream to lighten her skin to be "pretty", that broke my hair. Thankfully she had great friends who recommended therapy and therefore she recommended it to her other friends. The author leaned into a predictable storyline with Yinka at the end leading up to being with the guy she always overlooked.
It felt like after all of the storyline, the ending of the book just kinda flew by. So, the ending was good and wrapped up the story well but the way the ending was pushed into a short section could use some work.

Moderate: Body shaming
