Training Wheels by Michael Stringer
5.0
I just finished reading Training Wheels. It is a book written by Michael Stringer. It takes place in California.
Training Wheels is about a boy who is about to enter high school. During his summer, he finds out his family isn't as together as he once believed they were. He especially learned that his parents weren't the perfect heroic figures he once believed they were. He meets a girl, and he falls in love for the first time. During his transition from growing out of childhood and turning into a man, he learns many of the harsh realities of the world. He learns that not everything is as easy and fixable as we believe it to be when we are children.
I loved this book! i almost couldn't put it down! It was wonderfully written and well thought out. I fully recommend this book to everybody. I especially think many teenagers would benefit from reading this book. I could see myself reading this book many times and not getting tired of it. If a person loves books that involve real life issues and situations and the journey of personal growth in a character then this book would be perfect for them!
