This book is phenomenal. I honestly forgot that this was a debut author writing this!

Michelle's writing is incredible. I felt like I was watching the story happening on the pages.

Here are the tropes:
Small Town
Grumpy x Sunshine
He falls first
Open door spice
Found family (imo)

I really enjoyed the MCs. I loved that they were older than most romances I've read. (Late twenties [28] and early thirties [32]).

Marisa felt so relatable being the happy go lucky people pleaser even though she had a lot of her own personal struggles - like her job search. As a person who has lost their job and job searching - it can be very difficult, so seeing her struggle with that felt really close to home.

Anyway, Ethan was also very relatable with his anxiety. I can also get pretty mean when my anxiety flares so I understood where he was coming from at times.

Anyway, I loved the dual pov and being able to see them both fall for one another.

There are some triggers you might want to be aware of going in, Michelle lists them in the book (very thankful for that by the way).

I'm OBSESSED with Marisa and Hillary's friendship!

I'm extremely excited for the next books within the Red Mountain series - I have a theory of who the next book will be about!

I also want to say that Ethan is totally a new book boyfriend for sure!!
