This book was just far too depressing for me to find enjoyable. It was obviously never going to be a barrel of laughs because of the dark themes and the seriousness of the plot, but it didn't make me feel emotional or interested at all either. I didn't connect with or particularly like the characters and I just found the book as a whole to be a drag to read.
