Amber hiding her powers, I kept thinking: keep it secret, keep it safe.

There's chemistry between the police chief and Amber is kinda intense / weird, knowing that he's got a wife and kid.  How's that gonna work out as a love interest?  I mean, if the marriage is on the rocks, I guess... but it didn't seem like it?  I dunno
