This was a cute and interesting story. I liked learning about face blindness in the midst of a sweet, but confusing, love story. Confusing because the MC has brain surgery so the reader lives in her lack of clarity and accurate processing.
I generally strongly dislike the miscommunication trope but if there’s one way to get away with it, it’s if the MC has extreme side effects from brain surgery. That can explain everything away! lol
There wasn’t quite enough resolution in the family relationships storyline, which was a huge focus of the story.
But in general, it was an entertaining read and I enjoyed it on audio. I was definitely rooting for Sadie and felt upset when so few things seemed to go her way. These final points brought it from a 3.75 to 4.0 for me. I felt things!
