‘Jasper: I don’t like talking to people. Sloane: You talk to me. Jasper: You’re not people. Sloane: Lmao. What am I then? Jasper: My person’ - Elsie Silver 💕
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4.5 Stars
Really enjoying Elsie Silvers couples. She knows how to make readers route for characters singularly and together. This one was a childhood besties to lovers which was a nice change in pace. 🫶
Jasper being the quiet, hidden one with lots of trauma battled alone made my heart break. He deserved to find love with his safe person.
Sloane was such a good combo of gentle yet firm. She spends her life trying to please others despite being poorly treated. 🩰
It was lovely to see their friendship support them through previous traumas and their childhood flashbacks. I’m a slow burn fan so I was SAT for all the deep discussions. It felt very mature. Though I will say…they became frustratingly BLIND about each other’s feelings 😂
They were always their best selfs when they were together. Their spice scenes were quite different to the previous couples which was a nice change. By the end, we got a more confident, protective Jasper and a more care free Sloane👌🏻
‘For the ones who spent their lives being just a little *too* agreeable. Here’s to getting comfortable disappointing people to avoid disappointing yourself’ - (alright Elsie, you didn’t need to shout)
