Meursault is an unusual protagonist and narrator - in spite of his perceived indifference and lack of emotion, you cannot help but root for him. I'm glad that the edition I own had footnotes and a register for more complex vocabulary since I can get discouraged pretty easily when I don't know a word. 
+ Reading this book in the sun made for an immersive reading experience. I think I'm starting to warm up to French literature!
