Justice League International, Volume 2: Breakdown by Yildiray Cinar, Jason Fabok, Matt Ryan, Dan DiDio, Joe Harris, Aaron Lopresti, Geoff Johns, Dan Jurgens, Ethan Van Sciver
1.0
A villainous cabal with a tired and pointless agenda who wreaks havoc on a team of superheroes - this feels a lot like 80s-era X-Men retreads, but without the reduction to talking heads necessary to make a socially relevant topic feel like it's more important than a fight scene. This collection begins with pointless death and injury, and kind of pours it on from there. We are never given a break from being reminded that this is the second-string version of the Justice League, and I really hope that this 'multiple Firestorms' thing is something that has gotten fixed with DC's Rebirth, because it's fucking ridiculous. All together, I give this kind of a "meh." If it weren't for the stupidly cliffhangery nature of the previous volume, this one has nothing to draw the reader.
