Cows by Matthew Stokoe

4.0

“Yeah, I’m a cow, man. Touch me.”

this… is a book! no, seriously, i knew this was going to be gruesome and disgusting going in, and it didn’t disappoint. it wasn’t “too much” for me, but then again i have a strong stomach when it comes to reading. also - i will say, if i wasn’t already not eating cow before reading this, this would have solidified that decision.

i don’t know what this book is trying to do, and that’s one of the reasons it’s not a five star for me. there’s the obvious theme that we all live superficial lives and forget about the lives that aren’t glamorous that provides us these clean lives, but besides that im not sure. why cows, matthew?

as far as what i interpret is happening in this book, right now im unsure. i’ll read more reviews and such after i write my own that will probably shape my ideas more. right now though, i choose to believe this is a schizophrenic episode of a man who works at a slaughter factory and is mentally unhinged.

do i recommend you read this book? well, that’s up to you. however… i think it’s worth it for some of the banger comedic lines.

“You like cow pussy?”
“Sure.”
“Tight enough?”
“Surprisingly.”
