There is a reason why The Silence of the Lambs is famous both in its novel and film iterations. The ill treatment of Clarice, the slow building dread of the investigation and the sinister revelations about Buffalo Bill make it one of the best thriller/horror novels. Clarice and Hannibal’s conversations were by far my favourite parts of the book, it always felt as though they were seeing eye to eye but that Hannibal was also sizing her up. 🌿🌻
