Now, this is how you write a second chance romance! It was literal perfection.
I was engaged in this story from the very beginning. Nora was fun and quirky. Loved her energy so much. It was addicting.
Derek was such a simp for her after their drinkin marriage. And he was so damn respectful and supportive that my heart ached. He was also so open and vulnerable with her.
"I've never felt particularly wanted or cherished. Except with you."
I may have teared up after he said that line.
The next best part of this book is NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP. I can't describe how appreciative I am of that in books. The plot carries itself without the need for some kind of conflict.
I think this may be Sarah Adam's first open door romance, and it was done perfectly. I am here for more like this. It didn't overshadow anything and instead just added to it. Just beautiful.
