Just sitting here fully confused by what just happened. Also can't believe I read this in two days.
While this book is young adult, it’s incredibly violent. The MC is angry at the world (understandably) and she turns the violence that the world has enacted upon her back on itself. If you’re not in the mood for descriptions of war and torture and exasperating systemic issues, this may not be the book for you. It is fantastic and is truly a “down with the patriarchy” story at its angriest, but that violence may not be for all.
