I made it about 35% through this book. Honestly for such a cool concept I was pretty bored. I have an on-and-off-again relationship with YA, and this book reads really young. Like, a middle school student would have no issues with the subject matter of this book. The Hunger Games and Divergent deal with more dark/complicated themes. It was new release I had preordered before there weren’t a ton of reviews out. Now, I see a lot of people commenting about a Christian author and Christian publisher and this being “Christian fiction” and that’s just not for me.
