Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a really great wrap up to the Harry Potter story. While I've got a few gripes, particularly some inconsistencies in plot and magic between the books that have been pointed out elsewhere, I do think that this book is a conclusion that lives up to the rest of the books in the series.

Given that this novel is split into two movies, much more of it is in the films than previous entries. While that's the case, there are certain elements that do feel quite different. Rereading the book, I was reminded by how differently I envisioned Griphook and goblins as a whole than the movie portrays them.
There's also some really fascinating stuff about Lupin's trying to being a father that I loved in this book.
I still am not sold on J.K. Rowling's relationships
although I don't hate the epilogue
, but I do think that they do bring closure to the story.

I had a great time revisiting the audiobooks of these favorite stories from my childhood. While they show their age in places, the Harry Potter series is still well worth your time.
