Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
5.0
I sure do love this book.
When I read it as a kid, the ending "twist" blew my entire mind. Now, to my adult POV, it's pretty obvious. I still love the book.
I love Ender, the most perfect and beautiful Mary Sue the world has ever known. I love Petra the poet, crazy as a loon, and Dink Meeker. I love my best boy, Bean Julian Delphinki, even though the Ender's Shadow retcon makes Ender look like a moron and ruins every interaction between them. I love the beginning dialogues in each chapter, where Graff argues with people. I love the Locke and Demosthenes plotline, even though our current political climate makes it seem like fantasy on par with the tooth fairy. I love the background politics. I love the battleroom and the command school simulator. I love the whole entire thing, is what I'm trying to say.
