I first read these three books when they came out in the mid-80s. Finally, someone had brought our games of Dungeons and Dragons to life! (Yeah, our games were basically dungeon crawling, and these books had so much more depth...)

It took me two attempts to read these. I wasn't in the right frame of mind the first time I attempted it, but what with COVID-19 lockdowns meaning trips to the library were impossible, I decided to give these another go. This time, I got myself hooked right in!

It was surprising what you remember and what you forget over 30 years. It was good to get my memory refreshed. The annotations by the authors were also brilliant to read.
