No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole

I keep trying to envision how these mythical beings' dynamics work, like the Valkyries hate the Vampires who hate the Witches who hate the Lycae or whatever. It seems based on old feuds, so is it more like the Montagues and the Capulets? Or is it like ethnic violence? What I'm getting at is how a person goes from collecting teeth from her vampire victims to marrying one of them. I don't know, it's 2019 and that's a heck of a lens to view things through, but my suspension of disbelief on people being cured of deeply held prejudices by love is requiring a lot of work. I guess in this case he's one of the "good" vampires, or at least not the really evil ones? Hmm.
