It's written beautifully, which I enjoyed. However I don't really consider the message of the book all that rich or thought provoking. the journey Siddhartha takes to get there seems laborious, and I personally didn't like that each distinct part of his life seemed devoid of what happened before. 

I found Siddhartha to be very selfish in his quest, and I wish the book explored this better.
