The Fall of Hyperion by Dan Simmons
5.0
Really liked this. The author set up an incredibly sprawling and absurd set of plots, including a bunch of time travel nonsense. Then he brought it all together and stuck the landing. And all that without the narrative crutch of a "8 tales within a story" structure from the first book. I loved the characters, I loved the story, I was excited to read every page. A really great conclusion to the first book.
