“Everyone you love will hurt you, in some way. Most of them, I hope, will do it by accident.”

Wow! I can’t remember how I found this book but I’m so glad I did. In less than 24 hours, I devoured Faking with Benefits via Kindle Unlimited (why did I not have it sooner?!) It was the perfect level of sugar 😇 and spice 🌶! I only read a few reviews going into it so nothing was spoiled for me; I just knew I had to read it when someone described it as if Jess from New Girl was dating her roomies. An accurate description!

I won’t give the plot away but each guy feels real; he has his own backstory, plot lines to resolve, feelings to come to terms with. It’s not just about sexy fun times, though there’s plenty of that too. What I’m getting at is there’s character development, plots moving forward and smut, what more could you want? Not to mention that Layla isn’t one dimensional either; yes, she’s shy at times but she’s a boss babe too!

I loved the different POVs. It felt like I got to know each character on an equal level. I kept flipping between which guy was my favorite while knowing the point is that she ends up with all of them, so they all became my favorite for different reasons. The only disappointment for me was that the guys weren’t together together, but they worked well together with her. They were obviously friends and got along but they weren’t intimate. I understand that’s probably the point of a reverse harem novel though (my first time reading this genre!) and it didn’t take away anything from the story in the end.

Overall a very enjoyable read. Can’t wait to read her other books. New fan alert! 💗
