The Lumberjack by Susan Stoker

3.0

ugh i'm a bit disappointed in this book! the romance between jj and april has been teased throughout the first three books and i was so excited to finally get their book but it was ruined within the first 20% of the book! in the previous book it was teased that they both obviously had feelings for each other but because of the age gap (she's older!) and the fact that he's her boss, they were too scared to admit their feelings for each other. but in the beginning of this book, april gets into a car crash and loses her memory and doesn't remember a single thing about their friendship but knows that she is pulled towards jj. because of her memory loss, jj takes of advantage of the fact that she doesn't remember all the insecurities she had about wanting ot be with him, confesses his feelings to her, and they're together before we're halfway through the book. UGH. i wanted pining! i wanted longing! i wanted yearning! i wanted angst! but i didn't get that. i did love them as a couple but i wanted more.

LOVE that they were child free by choice and stayed that way though!!!!
