A Killing Cold by Kate Alice Marshall
4.25
This was a tense and satisfying thriller. I am wary of books that involve Uber rich/important/self important families, but this one actually didn't make me want to punch ALL the characters, which is a win. I love how supportive Connor was of Theo and how he doesn't let his family bully her or make her feel less then (this seems to be rare in this trope). Theo is mysterious, but you soon learn why and the more I learn about her past and her choices, the more I loved and empathized with her. This book had some great twists and turns ESPECIALLY at the end; it kept my head spinning for sure. A perfect thriller for winter with locked room vibes (except dangerous abandoned mounted with no cell service).
Note: I listened to the audiobook and love this narrator so I enjoyed it a lot!
