All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood

5.0

There are books that you enjoy because of the plot and the relationship of the main characters. There are books you enjoy because of the writing and you know the author from other works. Other times you don't know anything about the book or the author and his/her writing but you know that is a book for you because people who have read it and you have similar reading tastes as you had the novel high on their favorite books.
Well, All the Ugly and Wonderful Things is the third situation that happened to me. Yes, it has a hard subject and it isn't for every reader because it has a lot of trigger warnings that please check them out before you read them. Yes, Wavy & Kellen's relationship would be unacceptable to the modern way of thinking, most people will take the same actions as Wavy's aunt did. But it is a relationship that is built stage by stage with confidence, and respect acceptance. Both Wavy and Kellen come from bad backgrounds and try to come of it as well as they can, but on the way they both get injured physically and emotionally.
The author, Bryn Greenwood comes from a similar background and I believe the way she wrote Wavy's life, and character must be hard, but I have a feeling, and in my opinion, it is also therapeutic.
There are a lot of characters that you despise, and on the other hand, you have characters that got them in situations that you want to hug and help them.
Even though I couldn't put the book down from enjoyment I felt that the ending was done a little abruptly.
I am looking forward to reading more works by Bryn Greenwood.  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
