This was a fun YA fantasy with spies and intrigue. I enjoyed the romance in this one as well as Sage as a character. I remember this series having pretty middle of the road reviews back when it was released, but I honestly enjoyed the story and I’m also pleased that the rest of the books seem to continue to feature Sage and the same love interest, which doesn’t always tend to happen in YA fantasy trilogies. I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for an adventurous story with a main character you can’t help but root for.
