Stan has always been my favourite of the Railer's boys and in this one he just breaks your heart.
From his injury to surgery, to Noah's illness the boys are put through the wringer. I loved how Eric and Stan worked together throughout this one. They had their disagreements and both suffered serious guilt for missing Noah's illness but they managed to stay together and act as a team.

Eric was the first to understand that he was ready to retire and that his heart just wasn't in anymore. Stan had more hills to climb as he continued getting PT to help with his hips and then watching he younger generation of goalies coming through. It must be hard for these guys, ,who give everything they have to a sport, to admit hat its time to go. Especially when the heart is there just not the body.

I loved loved loved Stans talk with his pipes at the end and especially the epilogue
