4,5/5 First, I don’t own Symbaroum. This was a gift from a friend, and I wanted new ideas for other settings that I have, in particular Eberron and Ravenloft. And I got what I wanted and more. Symbaroum as a setting is one of the best grimdark worlds out there. There is drama, darkness, fear and despair at every step. This two adventures in particular deal with family drama, with desires so strong they can lead to darkness. The players are put to the test every scene. The stories are of a very manageable length, have very nice casts, and have proper endings. Perhaps what I didn’t like very much was the 24-esque nature of the second adventure, but that’s something that can be managed.
