This series was recommended to me and I decided to start with this one as my phrase of the year is “for such a time as this.” I was pretty disappointed. For a commentary, this read a lot more like a devotional. I found Wiersbe’s analysis a little far fetched. The discussion questions in here felt like a comprehension check. I’m glad I didn’t try this with a small group. Wiersbe also brought too much social commentary in here that felt inappropriate at best. Overall, this just felt like a white American analyzing middle eastern women.
