This is my first time reading poetry outside of school, so to say that I was quite intimidated to pick this up is an understatement. However, it's such a raw and poignant read that it left me staring at the ceiling for at least 15 min.
"Apathy is the same as war,
it all kills you, she says.
Slow like cancer in the breast
or fast like a machete in the neck."
