Not a cuddly warm shifter wolf pack, but one with brutal rules to ensure safety - and we get some of that. I’m not a massive shifter reader but got behind this premise.
Simon is bucking the rules- surviving as a gay werewolf, though only just with Karl and his cronies being the high school bullies - apt reference by Simon, though more deadly.
Paul is the human vet who rescues wolf Simon from a Karl attack, who then finds himself attracted to Simon.
So the story has the pack storyline, Paul’s realisation that all emotions are easily boxed and their relationship.
