The Dog of the North by Elizabeth McKenzie
4.0
What a weird, kooky book. The things that bothered me about PORTABLE VEBLEN (namely, feeling like I was reading a pretty standard story before it went off the rails) didn't concern me with this one, perhaps because from page one I knew this book was just going to be wild. I tried to describe the plot to my husband and then got to the point where I said, "and then we go to Australia," and he said, "Wait, what? This is the same book?"
I found this super entertaining and weird and strange. When I finished it I thought there's no way that I'm going to read something as interesting as this for a long time.
That said, I have no idea how to sell it.
