I hate passive main characters who also, explicitly or implicitly, think they are better than people around them. Just leave then. 
Always such boring stories, watching things unfold with an air of 'I am above this', whether that is coming from the character or the author themself, idk. Just leave and get a life, and stop being around people you hold contempt for...
