The Gold-Bug and Other Tales by Edgar Allan Poe
4.0
It has been a long time since I have read any Edgar Allan Poe. I had forgotten the unique eloquence with which he writes. His poetic verbosity. And time wonderful, and at others it can really make a story drag. It is interesting how easily he changes is dialect of writing to fit the setting of the story, bringing each one to life on their own. What I hated most has nothing to do with his writing but the book itself. Why is the print so tiny, any minimally spaced?! harder to find a good break point and tired my eyes quickly. Poe is not someone I can sit and read a lot in one sitting. I can read a lot in a day, but my eyes needed a lot of breaks. And so does my brain to digest and fully grasp what I just read.
