One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez
5.0
I was lucky to read this while on holidays, quite a few years after I originally bought the book. I recall the bookkeeper telling me it was a long, committed read, and this was certainly true. However, I loved it! Reading it at its own pace, taking the time to let the prose come alive, and consciously thinking about the lives of the Buendias made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I particularly enjoyed the last few pages. Happy and proud to have finished this.
